Stavros Chatzipetrou was born in Thessaloniki on June 15, 2004.
He began his involvement in basketball in 2013 at the Hellenic Basketball Academy GBA as a player, progressing through all youth levels and competing in all age-group teams until 2022. In 2018, he was selected for the Thessaloniki regional team (EKASTH), participating in official championship games.
He started his coaching career during the 2022–2023 season, when he took on the role of Assistant Coach in GBA’s development program, helping the team secure 3rd place in the EKASTH U14 Championship.
At the same time, during the 2022–2023 season, he was appointed Head Coach of the middle school and high school team at Anatolia College, a position he continues to hold to this day.
In the 2023–2024 season, he served as assistant coach in National League 1 with YMCA Thessaloniki, contributing to the team’s championship title and promotion to the Elite League.
Since the summer of 2024, he has been a member of PAOK’s coaching staff, with whom he participated in the FIBA Europe Cup Final.
He is a graduate of Anatolia College and currently a student at the University of Macedonia, in the Department of Accounting and Finance.
