PAOK BC announces the beginning of its cooperation with Giorgos Tsiaras, who takes on the role of Sports Director of the team.
The addition of Giorgos Tsiaras to PAOK BC’s staff marks another important step in the overall strengthening and upgrade of the organizational structure of the basketball department.
This will be Tsiaras’ second stint with PAOK, as he wore the team’s jersey for approximately two years during his playing career (2008–10).
Giorgos Tsiaras was born in Larisa on May 4, 1982. He began his career with AEK, with whom he won the Greek Championship in 2002. During his career, he also played for: Olympia Larisa, PAOK, Nymburk (Czech Republic), Panionios, Ikaros, Aris, Gaz Metan (Romania), Melilla (Spain), Trikala, Apollon Patras, and Kymi.
After retiring as a player, he remained involved in basketball and initially worked with Iraklis as a team manager. He spent two years (2022–24) as team manager at Peristeri, while from the start of the current season until last March, he worked with Monaco.
Since June 2024, he has been serving as team manager of the Greek men’s national basketball team.
