For the second consecutive year, PAOK will compete in a European final, aiming to win the FIBA Europe Cup against last season’s champions, Surne Bilbao Basket, in a repeat of last year’s finals. This time, however, the order of the games is reversed.
The first final will take place in Thessaloniki, at PAOK Sports Arena, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with tip-off at 19:15.
The second final will be played in Bilbao, at Bilbao Arena, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with tip-off at 21:00 (Greek time). That night, the title will be decided, and the trophy will be awarded in the Basque Country.
More details regarding both games—both in Thessaloniki and in Bilbao—will be announced during the coming week.
A packed schedule before and after the finals
From a purely basketball perspective, the team already has other priorities. First comes a two-day break (yesterday and today), as both physical and mental recovery are essential, given the intense schedule ahead—both before and after the FIBA Europe Cup finals.
Starting from Easter Sunday, when the team returns to practice, the focus will shift entirely to the next game: the rescheduled match against Aris, which will take place on Wednesday, April 15 (18:00) at PAOK Sports Arena.
This game marks the beginning of a particularly demanding stretch. In fact, PAOK will play five crucial games within 15 days, facing, in order:
Aris, Iraklis (Ivanofeio Hall), Bilbao, Maroussi, and Bilbao again (away).
A decisive period lies ahead, with both domestic and European goals on the line.
