Nikos Chougkaz was unfortunate during yesterday’s game in Peristeri, as he suffered an injury to his right ankle and will be sidelined for a significant period from PAOK’s competitive obligations.
Chougkaz sustained a rupture of both the medial and lateral collateral ligaments of his right ankle, without signs of instability following weight-bearing X-rays.
The player begins his treatment program today, with the estimated recovery time ranging from 4 to 6 weeks. His condition will be regularly re-evaluated by the team’s physician, Dr. Michail Samaras.
