PAOK BC is pleased to announce the creation of the PAOK Special Team, a Basketball Academy for People with Disabilities, further strengthening the club’s commitment to equality, social inclusion, and sport for all.
Because for all of us, basketball is more than just a game. It is a space for participation and acceptance.
The PAOK Special Team Academy operates within the framework of the upgraded PAOK Basketball Academies program.
It is not simply a new basketball academy. It is proof that at PAOK, everyone has a place.
The PAOK Special Team Academy program is designed for people with disabilities (Autism, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome), aged 14–30.
Training sessions will take place in a safe and fully supportive environment, with the collaboration of specialized coaches, special educators, and therapists, tailored to the needs of each group.
The goals of the program are:
physical development
social interaction
strengthening self-confidence
and the joy of participating in team sports
Everyone at PAOK Basketball believes that sport belongs to everyone, without discrimination, and through this initiative we take another step toward making the court a space of acceptance, development, and inclusion.
