Malcolm Griffin joins PAOK

PAOK BC announces the agreement with the American basketball player Malcolm Griffin, who will be re-enforcing our team during the 2020-2021 season.

Malcolm Griffin was born on August 10, 1991 in Chicago, is 1.93m. and is a guard.

Following his graduation from Hyde Park Career Academy of Chicago, he began his college career with Toledo (2009-2011) and completed it with Fresno Pacific (2012-2014), averaging 18.6 points, 4.5 reboundsand 5.6 assistsper game during his final season.

He got his first professional contract in Morocco, where he played for the Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca. He returned to the States half season, where he played with the Champaign Swarm, winning the MPBA LeagueHe then returned to Africa, where he played for the Fath US de Rabat and AS Salé (Μorocco and Tunisia respectively).

He landed his first European opportunity duringthe 2016-2017 season, playing in Latvia and the Liepājas Lauvas, averaging 14.6 points, 6.9 assistsand 5.5 rebounds per game.

During the 2017-2018 season, he came to Greece for the first time, joining Kolossos Rhodes, playing only in the first half of the League and averaging 15.8 points, 5 assistsand 3.8 reboundsHis impressive performances were his passport to Zenit, where he got to average 4.2 points and 3.9 assistsin 9 games for the VTB League.

He returned to Greece for AEK next season, with averages of 7.5 points, 3 assistsand 1.8 reboundsin 20 minutes per game (for a total of 25 games) while in 18 gamesfor the Basketball Champions League, he had 8.3 points, 2.6 reboundsand 2 assistsper game (with an average playing time of  22.8 m.p.g).

At the end of the season he got to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv, playing one game for the Israeli League playoffs, getting to start next season with the same team as well and playing three league games.

He returned to Greece and Kolossos Rhodes last December, playing 11 games before the League got suspended, with an average of 9.6 points, 3.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 23 m.p.g.
