Charalampidis: «We'll try to win the most we can»

A little while ago, PAOK landed at the international airport of Lyon and is already on the bus to Dijon. PAOK will be playing at the Burgundy capital tomorrow against JDA Dijon (5/11, 20:30 CET) for the 4th day of the Basketball Champions League.

"It's going to be one more tough game for our team, against a very strong opponent. DJA Dijon is the only undefeated team in our group, their momentum is excellent and the six consecutive victories in all the competitions they participate are only proof of that. Nevertheless, it's going to be a game of major interest to us as well. We want to approach it the best way possible and win the most we can from this game" Kostas Charalampidis commented, who will not have Giannis Chatzinikolas at his disposal. The 24-year old guard is suffering an infection of the respiratory system and remained in Thessaloniki, as well as Dimitris Karamanolis.

"We need to make good management of all the guys, but at the same time we have to try and get the best we can out of this game. To do that, we have to have the same focus and patience we had during our game on Saturday, good distancing and make good decisions, so that in case something goes wrong in the game, it does not mess with our heads. Dijon mostly relies on its perimeter. They have athletic big players, that bring energy to the team, but their moving power lies with the perimeter, on Holston and Julien that are two facilitating guards and on Sulaimon, who is a great executioner", Charalampidis pointed out.

Tomorrow's game will be the 46th against a French team. PAOK has won 26 games and lost 19, having faced off with 12 different teams. Beginning in the 1975-76 season, when he got to play with the omnipotent - at the time - Les Mans and until last season, when he played against Nanterre, PAOK has played a total of 10 games against Limoges, 8 games against Villeurbanne and another 6 against Cholet.

PAOK has also played against Antibes, Chalon, Gravelines, Les Havre, Mulhouse, Orthez και Roanne, while tomorrow's game is going to be his first one against Dijon.
