Twenty years since that tragic evening. Twenty years that six of brothers are not here with us. They left their last breath on the road, at the area of Tempi, returning from yet another road trip following their beloved PAOK.
Words are redundant. Anyway, so much has been said through all these years. We have the duty to remember and honor their memory as if they are here. Amongst us.
For Charalampos, Dimitris, Christina, Anastasios, Giorgos and Kyriakos, the PAOK family should always be here and not forget that the love of these kids for PAOK “brought them here, left them here and moved ahead”.
PAOK BC, just like the whole of our family, will honor the memory of those kids today, tomorrow and forever.
Tomorrow will be dedicated to their memory. From early on, at 11:00, with the annual memorial service that will be taking place at the Tempi area and immediately following that at the PAOK Sports Arena, with a moment’s silence, and the deposition of flowers in a specially designated area in front of the fans tribunes, right before the jump ball of the PAOK – Larissa game, when our team will be playing in its black jerseys to honor the sombering circumstances.
On our teams’ jerseys the following phrase shall be printed and will be keeping us company throughout the 2019/20 season “Brothers, you are alive – 4/10/1999”.
