Game 2

FINALLY, Another game day is upon us! It has been quite a roller coaster to even get to this point where we can say confidently that we have a game this weekend. The whole country has just recently been put on a “Lockdown” due to Covid-19 until November 30th. However, the Greek League is still able to play games! just without our loyal fans ?. Even with uncertainty we have prepared well for a tough game against Panathinaikos with good team practices all week. Our game plan is good and we look forward to showing what we have improved on since our last game at Iraklis. We know it will be a very challenging game vs PAO and we need to be mentally ready to come and fight each possession to try and get the road win.

As For off the court, This current lockdown that has been put into place here is not the first one we all have gone through. For me this will be my 3rd different version of a “lockdown” in 3 different countries! (Germany, United States, Greece) Each has been a little different, but mostly the same. For example last spring in Germany during my first experience of a lockdown we were unable to even go to the gym as a team! It was all individual workouts for 2 weeks and without coaches there. Thankfully where I was in Germany was not too badly infected at the time I was there before I went back home to America for the summer. Once I got back to my home in Florida, for the first time that I could ever remember, the public beaches were closed! ? after not seeing the beach for roughly 8 months I had to go see it and just relax beachside hearing the waves crash.... So I went to a rooftop and got this view for the evening! Don’t tell the cops ??

And now here in Greece is my 3rd version of a lockdown. This one is similar to all the others just with a new twist. I don’t have a Greek phone number so I have to walk around with this paper saying where I go and when, and of course, with my #PAOK4ever mask on!

Unfortunately we all have come to accustomed to these rules and regulations pertaining to Covid-19, but it’s the world we live in right now so we must each do our part to get healthy again. Not just individually, but as a whole community, country, continent, and world.
