Milenko Tepic represented PAOK’s players in the Press Conference held after the end of the game against AEK for the Basketball Champions League playoffs.

PAOK’s forward pointed out that PAOK allowed its AEK to play their game, but also that the team has the potential to qualify should it play better.

 “It was a very tough game which we could have played better. AEK had more strength in the beginning of the game and energy to open it up. This was also the case in the beginning of the second half and it happened due to the way we played. During the time that AEK created the difference, they scored easy baskets either with threes on running the open court. When you allow the opponent to play their game, that’s how the difference is created. We have had some good moments also. Each time we were coming back to the game though, we either were making mistakes or we weren’t playing good defense and we were offering them the advantage of finding easy scoring. The way the game went, the difference is rather a good one, with all due respect to AEK. In this tournament and given the fact that everything will be decided by the aggregate, I think we can turn the situation for us if we play better”.

About how the difference reached 24 points: “I don’t know how to explain that. Maybe the fact that the presence of the fans added an extra pressure. Probably AEK approached the game better than us and what happened should teach us something”.
